Café Chartreuse is owned and operated by Ruth and Patrick Bourachot. Before opening Café Chartreuse, Ruth, a food and beverage director, and Patrick, a French-trained chef, applied their skills and passion for food across Canada at some of the most regarded hotels in the country, winning awards of excellence along the way.

In 2004, after years of talking and dreaming about opening their own café, they decided it was now or never. They packed up their young family, and moved to the beautiful shores and slopes of Collingwood, Ontario. In 2005, the doors to Café Chartreuse opened for business.

Today Café Chartreuse (its name and ambiance inspired by a an old friend who used to regularly host fun-filled gatherings where everyone was welcome and the food, beverages and atmosphere were always inviting) is the destination of choice for those seeking a gourmet taste experience and a culinary adventure where the menu is never the same two days in a row.
